Day 1: Leave Australia
Depart from Australia for Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo (L)
On arrival in Cairo, you will be met by a guide who will assist with Customs and Passport control.
After clearing Customs, you will be escorted to your coach where you will begin your first tour of Old Cairo, which is known to the Egyptians as Masr al-Qadima. Visit the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church and other Coptic churches like the Church of St.Sergius, which is built on a crypt considered to be one of the resting places of the Holy Family during their flight to Egypt 2000 years ago. Proceed to the Ben Ezra Synagogue from the time of the once thriving Jewish community in Egypt under the leadership of Rabbi Ben Ezra. Finally visit the Mosque of Amr ibn al-‘As, the first and oldest mosque ever built in Egypt.
After lunch, transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the sites of Cairo if you wish.
Day 3: Cairo/Luxor (B,L,D)
This morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your 5 star Deluxe Cruise. Lunch will be served on board the cruise. After lunch, visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Dinner will be served on board the cruise tonight.
Day 4: Luxor (B,L,D)
This morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor.

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your 5 star Deluxe Cruise. Lunch will be served on board the cruise. After lunch, visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Dinner will be served on board the cruise tonight.
Day 5: Edfu/Kom Ombo (B,L,D)
Today you will visit the Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on the Nile. This magnificent temple was uncovered in 1860 and is richly decorated in hieroglyphics. It includes the great black granite altar, where only the highest of priest were allowed to tread. Sail onto Kom Ombo and visit the Temple shared by two gods; Horus the Falcon god and Sobek the Crocodile god. Continue sailing to Aswan and dock for the night.
Day 6: Aswan (B,L,D)
(Optional Tour to Abu Simbel available this morning at additional cost.)
This morning, visit the High Aswan Dam and Philae Temple, which was cut into sections and relocated to the island of Agilka when the Aswan Dam was constructed. Also visit the Unfinished Obelisk that has been cut from the quarry, but for reasons unknown was never completed. Return to your cruise for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Aswan/Cairo (B)
(Optional Tour to Nubian Village available today at additional cost.)
Disembark your Cruise Ship.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival into Cairo, check into your hotel.
Day 8: Cairo (Memphis & Sakkara – Bazaar) (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart by coach to visit the ruins of Memphis where the giant statue of Ramses lies. Memphis was founded around 3100 BC and is the legendary city of Menes, the King who united Upper and Lower Egypt. Sakkara is a section of the Great Necropolis of Memphis and is best known for the step Pyramid, the oldest known of Egypt’s 97 pyramids.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. On the way back to your hotel, stop by the carpet schools, Papyrus institute and perfume factories.
Day 9: Cairo (Giza Pyramids) (B,L)
Depart by coach to visit the Ancient Pyramids of Giza.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) is the oldest and is the only surviving of the seven ancient wonders of the world.
It was built around the year of 2560 BC to serve as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu of the 4th Dynasty.
You will also visit the mysterious Sphinx. This massive stone structure has the body of a Lion and the head of a Pharaoh. It is carved from the natural limestone of Giza.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Return to your hotel after lunch where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 10: Cairo / El Alamein / Alexandria (B,L)
Depart Cairo by coach for El Alamein. Today you will visit the famous battlefields from World War II and the Commonwealth War Cemetery where soldiers from Australia, New Zealand, UK and other countries who fought for the Allied cause, lie buried. At the end of the day, you will be transferred to Alexandria. Check into your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Day 11: Alexandria (B,L)
After breakfast, visit Pompey’s Pillar, standing on the site of an ancient Temple. Also visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shuqafa, where early Alexandrian Christians are buried from the early Roman times. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 12: Alexandria Library / Museum (B,L)
This morning will be free time until noon. After checking out of the hotel, you will visit the Alexandria Library, an architectural masterpiece with a massive repository of international manuscripts. You will also visit the first among all archaeological Museums in the world that is located within the library.
After your tour of the library, return to Cairo for the evening.
Day 13: Cairo (Museum, Citadel, Mosque) (B,L)
Following breakfast you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses the most important collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world, including the magnificent treasures excavated from the tomb of Tutankhamen. The museum exhibits over 120,000 objects, some of which are artefacts from the tombs of the Kings and royal families of the middle kingdom.
After lunch, visit the Citadel which dates back to medieval times and was used to protect the city against attacks during the Crusades. Also visit the Mohammed Ali Mosque.
Day 14: Cairo / Australia (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Australia.
Day 15: Arrive Australia
Arrive in Australia with unforgettable memories of Egypt.
